HomeShelter Installation

The HomeShelter Panic Door is supplied complete with hinges, mounting frame and installation kit with instructions.

The standard fasteners supplied in the kit consist of screwbolts that are designed to be screwed directly into holes drilled in concrete or hard brick or soft brick. No expansion or other wall anchors are required.

Tools required: drilling machine, 4,0 mm HSS steel drill bit, masonry drill bit 6 mm diameter and minimum 150 mm long, angle grinder with cutting blade for steel, Torx #27 or #30 driver.

HomeShelter Door Specification

We offer HomeShelter^TM Doors in left or right hand, for standard steel door frames, with handles and latch. Door height is adjustable to suit doorways.

The HomeShelter^TM PRD replaces a standard door in a standard steel frame and is adjustable for height:

• Intrudes 10-15 mm into the doorway each side
• Uncoated steel thickness 47 mm
