About Biagi Saga

To learn more about Biagi Saga is to learn more about its founder and technical director, Gerald Kuisis.

After half a century in the ring and a highly successful career steeped in the security product manufacturing industry, Gerald Kuisis decided that, instead of hanging up his gloves, he would start a new business.

He had worked for several big names in the industry, and with a string of patents and design registrations behind him, he had risen to the ranks of Technical Director. Gerald so loved solving difficult technical problems for clients that he wished to continue doing just that.

So it was that together with his wife, Carjan Kuisis, they launched Biagi Saga Technologies (Pty) Ltd in 2016. From there the team expanded - read more about Our Story below...

Our Story

After Gerald and Carjan Kuisis launched Biagi Saga Technologies (Pty) Ltd in 2016, the company was bolstered when Gerald's brother Mario and nephew Hayden Kuisis came on board, bringing further experience and engineering skills to the business.

Biagi Saga is now firmly established as the "go-to" company for solving intractable security problems that defy others trying conventional approaches. The company has developed a variety of outstanding products, many as projects for clients to market and manufacture, and others for a standard range of in-house products. Some products have ignited new businesses (such as Pangolin Safes), while others have earned international recognition as best-in-class at the highest security level, several having been patented (Gerald as sole or co-inventor) or having designs registered:

Origin of the Name

Biagi Saga was forged from:

• "Biagi" being an Italian family name of the forebears of the Kuisis family, dating back to the 1300's in the town of Lucca, associated with nobility and also the name invoked by medieval healers for throat ailments;
• "Saga" coming from "sagacious" capturing the keen mental discernment, wisdom and sound judgement employed by the Biagi Saga engineers (also think of "Sage" describing the profoundly wise).
